Writing unit 6

I'm very happy that you're coming to stay with us next Monday. Here's some information about my school.
School starts at 9 and there are six lessons every day except Tuesday, that are seven lessons. On Fridays, we start at 8:30 and finish at 2 o'clock.
The compulsory subjects are: Spanish, English, Catalan, Maths, Tecnology, Sciences, Sport, Arts...
The extra activities are: English, Football, and Basketball...
I have lunch in the school, and the food's are delicious! Every month there's one menu.

Dialogues Unit 6

Jake    Hey, Tina, do you want to go into town after school?
Tina   No. Sorry, Jake, I can't. I've got a maths exam tomorrow.
Jake    Oh, right. That's a pity.
Tina    Yes, I know.
Jake    What about Saturady then? Are you busy?
Tina    no. Why? What are you doing?
Jake   Some of us are meeting at the shopping centre if you want to come.
Tina    Sounds good. I must go now. Text me later, OK?
Jake    Ok. Bye Tina.

Dialogues Unit 5

Tina    Hello.
Jake    Hey Tina. It's Jake.
Tina    Hi, Jake. How are you?
Jake    Fine, thanks. Listen, what are you doing at the moment?
Tina    I'm at the Brighton aquarium.
Jake    Really? What are you looking at?
Tina    Oh, there are some sharks here. They're really cool.
Jake    Are you having a good time?
Tina    Yeah, it's really interesting. We can meet later if you want.
Jake    OK, great! Give me a call.
Tina    Sure. Bye for now.

Dialogues Unit 4

Tina    Hey, what's that music?
Laura  I'm is a samba band. We've got band practice now.
Tina    Really? How often do you practise?
Laura    We practise every Friday, and in July we 
              participate in the Brighton Carnival.
Tina     A carnival? Cool! What do you do in it?
Laura   Well, we sing, dance and wear costumes. It's fun.
Tina     I love dancing. What about you, Jake? Do you like carnivals?
Jake     I don't mind watching them, but I hate dancing.

Tina    Jake, do you know any German?
Jake    Yes, I do. Why?
Tina    I don't understand this. How do you say 'reaf' in German?
Jake    I think it's 'lesen'.
Tina    Sorry, can you say that again?
Jake    Yes, it's 'lesen'
Tina    How do you spell that?
Jake   L-E-S-E-N
Tina    OK, thanks

Dialogues Unit 2

Man    Hello. Can I help you?
Tina    Yes, I want to visit London. How far is it from here?
Man    London's about 50 minutes from here on the train.
Tina    Ok. How much is a return ticket?
Man    A return ticket is 10 pounds.
Tina    And is there a bus or coaches from the bus station
           They're cheaper than the train. The timetables are here?
Man     Great. Thanks very much.

Laura      Not bad. How are you, Jake? This is Tina.

Christmas From Australia

In Australia, Christmas is in summer, so many Australians spend Christmas Day on the beach. They have a barbecue or a picnic for Christmas dinner, then they sunbathe, go swimming and, if they're lucky, they may even see Father Cristmas!

One Direction

One Direction are a British-Irish boy-band who have become starts in the uk. The public discovered One Direction on the British talent show, The X Factor. They didn't win but their songs have been top of the charts. Watch the music videos of song from their album Up All Night.

Bob Marley

Bob Marley is a legend around the world. But it was a long journey from the poverty of Jamaica to international success. When he was a boy in the 1959s, Jamaica was still a British colony. It became independent in 1962. The culture was a mix of African traditions and British customs, but there were few opportunities for AfroJamaicans. One of them was music!
